Appi ski resort is located in the very north-east of Japan’s mainland and near the Towada Hachimantai National Park. The resort provides good snow and well groomed trails for all levels of skier and operates a high tech lift system totalling 18 lifts; able to carry 28,000 people per hour. A perfect resort for families and dedicated children’s ski areas, snowpark, child care and plenty of ski school options. It has a more sedate nightlife than some other resorts providing all in all a good family experience. Accommodation is mainly large hotels and service is exceptional.

From Narita Airport

Passengers travelling from Narita Airport board the Narita Express to Tokyo Station. Travelling time approx. 1 hour.

From Tokyo

Take the JR Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo to Morioka, travelling time approx. 150 minutes.

From Morioka

By Bus

Buses connect Morioka Station with the Appi Kogen Ski Resort every 1-2 hours. The one way trip takes about 50 minutes and costs 1,500 yen

By Train

From Morioka station you need to change to Iwate Galaxy line to Appi Kogen Station operates every 2-3 hours, then take the free resort shuttle bus to the resort which is about 5 minutes away. Tohoku
